Pricing of boxes

1. Indicate the exact dimensions of the product you are interested in (length, width, height) according to the instructions.

If you are not sure how to do this, we refer you to our previous post where we explain in detail how to do this. We recommend expressing the dimensions in millimetres as this is the industry standard.

Next, write the weight of the product - this determines which cardboard should be used for the boxes.

For example, if the weight of the product is more than 15 kg, a box made from 3-ply B-wave cardboard with a weight of approx. 400 g/m2 may not be able to bear this load. In this case, the more robust 5-ply cardboard would be a far better choice.

2. Think about the way the box opens and closes

The flaps of a standard flap box (FEFCO 201) open on walls of: length x width, but if you don't care about the layout of the flaps and prefer to get a more favourable quote it is always better to consider placing the flaps of the box on smaller sides.  

Here is an example:

We would like to send paintings that, when properly secured, present an overall size of: length 800 mm x width 600 mm x height 100 mm. In this case we advise against ordering boxes 800x600x100 mm, where the box flaps are on 800x600 mm sides, and recommend reordering the dimensions to 800x100x600 mm (flaps on 800x100 mm sides).

For boxes 800x100x600 mm less cardboard will be used, which makes the price much better and the box more solid than the original version. What is more, storing such boxes will be easier, as they will take up much less space when folded flat.

3. Calculate how many boxes you need

It goes without saying that the higher the number of boxes you order, the lower the unit price.

We can give you a hint: pallet orders will always look the most attractive. But we are also able to realise smaller quantities. What's more, we are convinced, bordering on certainty, that we have the lowest production minimums in Poland in our shop!

For companies or online shops that are just starting out, it's really important that you don't have to invest really big money in boxes at the beginning of your business. In short - we are flexible.

 

4 Waiting for your order to be processed

The vast majority of requests sent to us are so-called "yesterday" topics. The topic of product boxes should be raised much earlier. The earlier we receive a signal of potential demand, the more effectively we are able to plan the delivery of the raw material, which ultimately translates, of course, into price and delivery on time.
